October, October

Hey Guys,

    So today is October 2nd.  The year has flown by so fast.  But in it, so many amazing things took place.  I moved to a new state, I moved in with the love of my life, and took my next step career wise.  Thursday, I'll be headed home to Miami for a visit.  it's been over a year since I've seen my parents, and I'm in need of a family recharge.  However, my nerves are wrecked because this is the first time George (My Love) and my family will meet each other.  When I tell you I'm a wreck, that's what I mean!! 
     George is taking it all in stride, but he's cool as a cucumber about everything.  I know they will love him eventually, and he will them.  But, my family (like many other's I'm told) has more than it's fair share of dysfunction.  My older brother Duane warned him.  But George said I met his family and yes, his family has SOME dysfunction...but not my family's brand of dysfunction.  *sigh* Man......I'll be taking a shot or two on this day.
   This month I'll also be taking a course toward becoming a CLC- Certified Lactation Consultant, and also beginning my adventures with "ToastMasters".  Career and Love...what a year...I've also taken more steps towards the care of my body. I've gotten off track.  Moved to CT and gained 1-5 damn pounds. Number 1, I'm WAY to vain for that, and Number 2, I'll be DAMNED if I buy larger clothes that just give me more room to "grown" into....HELLZ NO. So yesterday, George and I went to the gym and signed up for trainers.  Not only is it for health, but I'll be attending my next (5th) Carnival in Trinidad and Tobago (Where I met my love).  My costume this year is just a pinch short of naked...and I LOVE IT!!! Do you see that?!!!  Each year, I select a costume with even less fabric than the last.  THAT costume deserves a trainer!!
